You’re absolutely right—nothing in this world is truly free. The way this program works is by balancing learning with contribution.

When you practice an existing lab, you help confirm whether it still matches the latest Azure portal, which changes very frequently. With the community’s support, we keep all our labs up to date.

When you try out something new, you document it as a lab recipe. That’s how we’ve grown from 30+ official Microsoft labs to over 300+ community labs. Because of this quality and quantity, many students who prefer not to contribute choose to join by paying a fee, which helps sustain the initiative.

At the same time, you also help answer questions in our group. With more than 135,000 members, it would be impossible for one person to handle all queries. This shared responsibility is how the group has grown so successfully. Everything is transparent and documented, so everyone benefits.

In short, it’s a win–win: you gain hands-on learning and experience while the community grows stronger together. And if you prefer not to contribute, you can still access all benefits for a nominal fee, which is much lower than what competitors charge.

You can always choose to take an Azure Pay-As-You-Go subscription on your own, but you’ll have to cover all the usage costs yourself. For many services, especially AI-related services, these costs can become very high. With FL2L, you not only save on these expenses but also get access to 300+ ready-to-practice lab recipes, live classes, and community-driven learning — all at no extra cost.

The program is free with a refundable deposit, which ensures participants are genuinely interested in learning and contributing. In the past, when no deposit was required, some people misused the resources for activities unrelated to learning, so this safeguard helps keep the program focused and sustainable. If you are doing FL2L as a full-time internship, we may even waive up to 99% of the deposit, making it accessible while still ensuring commitment.

The deposit makes sure participants are genuinely committed to learning and contributing. It is fully refundable when you complete your commitments. Without a deposit, we found that some people misused the resources, so this safeguard keeps the program focused and sustainable.

If you are not working and cannot afford deposit, and need exception on the deposit, please send a separate mail explaining your situation and we can make exceptions.

To participate in the BuddyTutor FL2L Program (with 4MCEA/AIEA), you must confirm that you have read and agreed to the policies listed below by sending an email as mentioned below.

How to send the email

1. Send an email to:

2. In the email body, include:

   • Programs interested (e.g. 4MCEA, AIEA or Both). Default is both.
   • Deposit amount paid (e.g. Rs 3999).
   • What time I will connect daily for lab prep (e.g. 8pm IST to 10pm IST):

   • The following confirmation statement:

     “I have read and understood all the below policies. I agree to follow them sincerely and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the deposit or removal from the program.”

BuddyTutor FL2L Program Policies

1. I agree to commit a minimum of 2 hours per day for lab preparation for 5 days a week (learning time or session time where i am a student is not included in this time). The timing must be the same on all days, and if it overlaps with sessions on any day, choose a different time to avoid conflict.
2. I agree to an additional 15 minutes per day towards community work such as responding to member queries in our study groups (WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Facebook). You need to engage on all team member posts on various groups through comments (e.g. feedback), shares, or just a like.
3. If you miss any day or spend less time at work or community activity, compensate within 7 days. Class time does not count toward any commitments unless you are helping us manage that class.
4. Share daily updates in our study groups (Facebook and WhatsApp). Updates must be posted at least one hour before the next day's work start time or 24 hours in case of weekends or holidays. 
5. Track daily updates and screenshots in a Word document. Share the proof of work every week on the last working day (e.g., Friday if working Monday to Friday) to share it weekly at [email protected]. To demonstrate initial commitment, share updates consistently for the first 7 days before being added to the complete program and groups.
6. If unable to join on time for a day or complete a task as planned, inform the team in advance. In emergencies, notify the group without waiting for approval. Valid reasons will be accommodated. 
7. In addition to lab preparation, tasks may also include tasks such as quizzes, or any other mutually agreed activities between you and BuddyTutor. If no task or group is assigned, watch a video from playlist available at Cloudericks.com home page and share a summary of what you learned in 2-3 lines as an update on study groups (WhatsApp and Facebook).
8. Disrespectful behavior — including but not limited to raising your voice, using rude or offensive language, personal attacks, or any other unprofessional conduct — will not be tolerated. If a participant is found, after review of facts, to have engaged in such behavior, they may be removed from the program immediately and will forfeit their deposit without refund.
9. Failing to meet guidelines will result in forfeiture of the deposit and require re-enrollment. First failure leads to deposit forfeiture; second failure requires re-enrollment.
10. The refundable deposit will be returned once you follow program policies for minimum program duration successfully, which is 3 months per program (E.g. 3 months for only 4MCEA; 6 months for both 4MCEA and AIEA). The refundable deposit will be returned as cash within India/Canada once you complete minimum program duration, which is 3 months per program (E.g. 3 months for only 4MCEA; 6 months for both 4MCEA and AIEA). For other regions, it will be returned as credits that you can use to buy future courses or products. The deposit will be returned within 30 days after successful completion of the program, provided all rules are followed.

FL2L students have free complementary access to KESG Study group during their enrolment period. After the FL2L enrolment, read group policies from the KESG page, submit the KYC form, and request over WhatsApp number given in the page with all details as mentioned.

The internship program is free to join for all BuddyTutor FL2L participants.

Regular Students:

• Dedicate 8 hours per day to internship tasks.

Professional Conduct & Respect

All internship participants must maintain professional behavior and respectful communication in all meetings, group discussions, chats, and any program-related interaction.

If, after review, a participant is found to have violated this rule, you may be removed from the program immediately and forfeit their deposit without refund.
